Founder of a Qatari TV Station: One Minute on TV Can Ruin 20 Years of Education
The following are excerpts from a lecture by sheik Wajdi Al-Razawi, founder and director of Al-Fajr TV:

I want to say to every Muslim, to every reasonable person, every father, and every mother, that they should know one truth: A single minute on television, which is both powerfully produced and contains an evil message, can ruin ten years of upbringing. This is no exaggeration. You can educate your daughter to be virtuous and modest. You can raise her for twenty years according to these principals. Her mother can be a woman of good virtue: modest, always praying and wearing a veil, who, for twenty years, raised her daughter to be virtuous. One scene, in one movie, one minute long might ruin this education completely, because the soul, unfortunately, is inclined toward lust.

From the Transcript of #540:

Nabih Al-Wahsh: In my opinion, taking the issue of virginity lightly will open the door to moral corruption. If we aren't strict on the issue of virginity we won't be able to keep tabs on what happens. The incidence of rape cases has reached a frightening level.Have you ever read about a modest and devout woman who was raped? Those who get raped are those who adorn themselves.

Host: No, we have read...

Nabih Al-Wahsh: No, there hasn't been a single modest and devout woman who follows her traditions and religion that was raped.

Host: It does happen. She was raped because the rapist was a sick man.

Nabih Al-Wahsh: No. Such a thing never happened.

Muna Hilmi: Why didn't those who raped her obey the commandments of your religion and treat her with respect?

Nabih Al-Wahsh: Because she was promiscuous. Because it was she that encouraged them to rape her.

According to this numbskull Nabih Al-Wahsh, every rape victim is asking for it.

One Minute on TV Can Ruin 20 Years of Education

Pretty shoddy education, if it's that fragile. Good news for the Western imperialists, I guess.
