Wal-Mart hates unions with a passion. Here in Baltimore County the local Union (UFCW Local 27) has been running an aggressive campaign to force Wal-Mart to unionize. One of the managers confirmed this report in the newspaper: if any of the employees talk about being unionized, they will be fired immediately.
That's how crazy it's getting.

I don't know the laws in your state, but my understanding is that Wal-Mart cannot legally fire someone for discussing joining a union, or even for voting to form or join. But Wal-Mart can decide to close a store if it appears unions are going to gain a foothold. Anything that keeps union thugs from gaining any control at all... anything that renders them the impotent little gangster-wannabes they truly are, I'm all for it. So "Go Wal-Mart"!
