WASHINGTON After a pointed question at a White House press briefing two weeks ago, a massive left-wing investigation of Talon News and Jeff Gannon's personal and business affairs was launched and was said to reveal that he was associated with homosexual website addresses.
Left-wing bloggers, specifically Media Matters, which ironically is run by former conservative and once-closeted homosexual David Brock, have made a name for themselves by taking the scalp of this conservative journalist by the name of Jeff Gannon. His crimes were that he was too pro-Republican, attended White House briefings, and asked questions unfair to Democrats. This became, for Media Matters, the "White House press room scandal." Never mind that "journalist" Helen Thomas has been giving anti-Bush political diatribes disguised as questions at these briefings for years.
"The Gannon 'scandal' would be laughable, were it not for the fact that Gannon's personal privacy has been invaded and his mother, in her 70s, had to endure harassing telephone calls from those on the political left," said Accuracy in Media (AIM) Editor Cliff Kincaid. "The campaign demonstrates the paranoid mentality and mean-spirited nature of the political left."
The mainstream media did their dirty work as well. Liberal journalists at The Boston Globe, using material from Brock, weighed in with their own account of the controversial journalist and his employer, Talon News, owned by a Texas Republican activist named Bobby Eberle.
Kincaid pointed out, "Despite all the innuendo and controversy, the fact remains that Gannon had done some excellent political stories on a wide range of subjects, including the CIA and former Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle."

I thought that liberals believed in the right to personal privacy. Whatever Gannon's personal peccadellos, they didn't disqualify him from being a journalist.
Modern, politically-correct liberals don't make any sense to me. They constantly call for fairness and tolerance, yet when someone disagrees with them and makes legitimate points, they act like facists.
You'll want to see this.
A person's sex life is only a personal matter if you're married, are a Democrat president, have sex in the oval office with a subordinate, and like playing the victim card.
lets see you have Ed Ashner threatening Hannity that he's next,
you have Rush, Bill Bennet, Armostrong William, Maggie Gallager, Gannon, etc. Then you have Cosby making responsible statements that pi** off the left and suddenly he's in a scandal. Anybody notice a trend here. Its obvious who the real Nazi's are.
Get a rope! :)
Denote sarcasm.
oh and I forgot Bill O'Reily another target of the left.
O'Reilly should never have brought a loofah to a gun fight.
Dr. Laura, same thing.
Brit Hume and others have also been targeted. Anyone perceived to be pro-Bush or pro-Republican will be silenced if the left-wing digital brownshirts get there way.
I see we had a new Troll:
I would suggest that David Brock go f--- himself, but he'd probably enjoy it.
This whole Jeff Gannon affair was bound to happen when liberals saw their "property" (the White House Press Room) being defiled by a conservative reporter.
In the war against the liberal MSM conservatives will suffer casualties like Gannon, but one liberal victory only means there are more liberal reporters down the road waiting to get theirs from irate conservatives.
Yup. I've thought exactly the same thing about the Bill Cosby situation too.
A little more detail about this would have been nice in this article. To fill it out for this thread, Gannon had a business prior to going to Washington where he registered websites for clients. Some of them had gay sounding names but according to Gannon the sites were never activated and had no content. The client went into other ventures and Jeff Gannon started work in Washington. The sex charges are as bogus as the rest of this mean spirited little scheme of the Party of the Criminally Insane. AKA American Democrats.
The Politics of Personal Destruction. Perfected by the Clintons.
