"It wasn't his use of forged documents to slander President Bush along with a lifetime of slanting the news leftward that angered conservatives; it was his support of such causes as Civil Rights, said Dan Rather with a straight face."
He deserves some kind of award for that one. The "Absolutely, 100% Not Guilty" Award For Audacity

As far as I know, Rather is still sticking by the "Fake but accurate" line.
No?

What a pathetic clown. Old and in denial. He'll be planted under six feet of worm bedding, taking his delusions with him.

It wasn't his use of forged documents to slander President Bush along with a lifetime of slanting the news leftward that angered conservatives; it was his support of such causes as Civil Rights, said Dan Rather with a straight face. And once again the vengeful man falls into the pit he has dug for another.

Someone should remind rather that it was DEMOCRAPS who opposed civil rights legislation and Republicans passed it- and also Abe Lincoln was a Republican.

Rather stood like an old soldier, stiff, stuffed, painfully erect. The description is correct, but soldier was not the word that came to mind.

No. Dan Rather still contends that the documents are REAL!

"'Civil rights,' said Rather. 'Vietnam. Watergate."
Wow... and the sticking-your-head-in-the-sand award for this year goes to...!
Hey Rather... I am for civil rights, am glad we left vietnam, and am glad we got to the bottom of watergate. Yet I still think you are a left-wing bias machine... so how does your little theory account for me?

An old horse like Rather shouldn't be set out to pasture, rather, sent to the glue factory.

They try to justify their bias, plain and simple. They do not see it as bias because everyone around them has the same perspective. Once they are hit with facts repudiating their bias, it is an attack because they DO NOT SEE their view as not being the Common Man's view. Since the MSM's monopoly on "point of view" has been skewed by the Internet; blogs Message Boards, alternate news site, etc., they are now threatened by different points of view which clash with their left leaning bias, and they see it as attacks.
