“To be fair” one has to acknowledge that Stalin enabled Hitler to go on his rampage in the first place. They were carving up Europe together. The only reason there was a falling out between Stalin and Hitler was because Hitler didn’t trust Stalin and turned on him.

Agreed — but I’m making a difference between Russians and the communists. The Bolsheviks used Russians as cattle and their “kill as many of these proletariat as you want, you nazis, we’ll overwhelm you with numbers” won WWII —> WITH American industrial might (what many forget is that the USA supplied the Soviets with weaponry
