There will always be scumbags like Ward Churchill around. The problem is that there are people who give them jobs or pay them to speak. That is the schwerpunkt - the place to attack.

Someone (us) needs to make it clear to universities that they can't get away with this. If they hire a fraud without performing due diligence then they are negligent and owe their benefactors recompense. We need a Sarbanes-Oxley for universities. University presidents will be personally responsible for the legitimacy of of their faculty credentials. Those credentials are a selling point and if they're false, it's fraud.

If there was an award for the "Grifter of the Year" old Ward should be a shoe in. Back in the 60's when I was a young boy my family used to go visit relatives at the Cherokee Reservation at what I was told called the "stompem". They eventually got to the point where they would not let people in who could not prove their lineage. I have got to admit that meeting the elders was one of the best experiences of my life. Made me aware that what I saw in the movies and TV was not true at all.

I don't know what they are waiting for. He gained employment under affirmative action. Anyone can be fired by any employer for a fraudulent application. I'm glad to see AIM stomping him, though last I heard the local chapter is still supporting him.
