What about when people present information, and are then challenged by a freeper to prove their statement...we can't just go around saying stuff, without proof, can we?Well look, since I am Karl Rove, it's important to understand that I'm usually right. By the way, did you know Dubya wears womens underwear to bed?
Damn. I think I violated some of these guidelines.

Ya know what it is like for me?
A big family sitting around the dining room table after a big meal discussing life, events and beliefs. It feels warm, comfy, safe. We squabble, kvetch, grouse, etc. But for the most part, we all get along like an extended family.
The problem is, we all forget the walls are glass and the whole world can look in on us at will.
Now THAT gives me pause!

If you have a family and a career and you work for a large company that might be influenced by political pressure you could be excused for not being so brave.
I certainly wouldn't resign because a few pouty woutys have a problem with me.
Now, that being said you have to stand for something and when worst comes to worst, you have hopefully raised your family in a manner that they would stand with you.
I also understand the problem alot of people might have just not wanting the issue and therefore hiding themselves. Well if you have to do that then do it, but if somebody finds out who you are, don't be a coward.
Far better it is to dare mighty things, and win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by defeat, then to take rank with those poor souls who live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.
If you don't mean it, don't say it, if you mean it then say it, and if you do say it stand by it. let your yes mean yes and your no mean no. Overall, don't be a coward.

How about: "Do not do in the dark what you would fear to be exposed in the light?"
Anyone who did a quick check of my posts could ID me easily, if they cared to. My philosophy is "don't read what I write if you don't want to know what I think." I do understand that people more prominent than me have to worry about political hit jobs, though.

Networking is fine. But perhaps there might be an invitation-only forum for people who are trusted freepers where networking can be done privately?'Trust' is a sticky wicket. The only real trust has to be by personal contact.
