(IsraelNN.com) There are already reports that wet snow has begun to fall in areas of the capital. How beautiful the City of Peace must look with a cover of snow. I visited in Summer of 1997, and would like to return one day soon. I hope I can see Jerusalem blanketed in snow again one day in the future.

Sounds lovely. I have never been to Israel but I sure would love to go.

Yes, the blanket of snow in '97 must have been spectacular.

Bizrat Hashem, we will all be able to dance like carefree children at a great big party in the City of Peace.
Prayer, vigilance and right action just might get us all there.

I was there in summer, i.e. August. It was very hot, which I like, and I spent several days just wandering around by myself exploring the truly fascinating City of Peace. The Old City is so interesting I could have spent a lifetime there...

There was snow in the United Arab Emirates in December which was unprecedented.
And this winter in Iraq has been much colder than last winter was. We've actually had sleet in the Baghdad area a couple of times and Mosul has had snow.
Dang that global warming!

Snow in Israel isn't all that uncommon. It's been doing that periodicly for centuries. They can probably use the water. If anything it's been too dry there for the last decade, water levels are very low.
