The day is young, Missy....
Emma's ADORABLE!
I'm a Gramma For Hire, did you know that? :)
Yawn -- yeah, BG --
recall seeing it on WANTED: DEAD or ALIVE POSTERS
all over creation -- even suspect you put them up, now that
I think of it -- you just LUV attention , don't ya??
Hope you baked a cake for yourself, Rus, and don't have to eat the one I baked for you!!
LOL
Oh no sistah. That wasn't a vacation. That was necessary. I had to meet you. And the Fla. picture was also not a vacation. I lived there for pete's sake. And, why are you posting those "fat" pictures of me? You know I've lost 50 lbs since then. (We won't count the 10 lbs I put back on over holidays).
The pictures her dad made look somewhat faded when posted over cyberspace. The print copies are bright and crisp. She is getting to be such a cutie.
Gramma for hire sounds like a worthy occupation. Hummmmm maybe we could start a business?
Would you please come over here and offer your condolences to a Freeper (cedarswingman) who lost his grandson to SIDS? Thanks much.

Think about it! So many children! We have four arms between the two of us....we could hold & love LOTS of them!
Done. Yep we could really be the "Rockin Grannies". I think we're on to something here.
I come real cheap.
And you?
Well actually, I pay them for the privilege. Just yesterday I paid the friend who usually works for me, to work at my son's with me while his wife had her tonsils out. We took turns holding/playing with Emma and washing clothes, etc.
thanks for the info and link, BG.
You're welcome, Dave. Thanks for the prayers.
Funny how these precious babes are able to wrap themselves around my little finger. Three daughters and now two grandsons. Always room for more, too.
You got that right Dave. I never realized how much a grandchild could mean to me. I think when I had my children (with exception of the last one) I was so young and had them so close together, I didn't have time to think about how much I loved them. Of course I did love them, but that love was expressed in taking care of them. With Emma I just hold her close and bask in the love I feel for her. Ah, the luxury of being a grandma. Her Momma has most of the work.
Sorry to hear that, glad she's OK!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOUR HONOR!
Did'n I tell ya, Sistah?! Did'n I -- huh-huh??
My first grandchild was born to my second son, Kevin, who was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii (for FAA training).
When he called in July 1978 to tell me he and his wife just had a son, I was living in Ohio, and so filled with ABSOLUTE JOY that I went out on the upper floor balcony off my apartment's living room, wanting desperately to at the top of my lungs SHOUT to The World:
The exultation is indescribable, isn't it?
Think of and pray for you often, Miss KM, and hope your house is coming along well -- selected the flooring/carpeting - kitchen cabinets - bathroom fixtures - etc.- yet?
