Karl Rove was on best behaviour at Time Warner's inaugural Conversations on the Circle this week in New York - until he was asked about Howard Dean.
Rove surprised the audience by revealing the existence of a second "Dean scream".
Rove disclosed that the White House had a tape of the scream, which erupted at the end of a speech to the California Democratic state convention in Sacramento on March 15 2003.
Dean, then a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, declares: "I want my country back! [cheers]. We want our country back! [cheers]. I'm tired of being divided! [cheers]. I don't want to listen to the fundamentalist preachers anymore! [cheers]."
On Wednesday evening, Rove was still salivating at the prospect of using the tape - along with the infamous post-Iowa caucus scream - in a future election.
But just for the record, Rove - the man President Bush affectionately calls "Turdblossom" - considers Dean a worthy opponent who could be a good chairman of the Democratic national committee.
zzzzzzz..very lame article..almost ashame to respond..
Turdblossom?
Turdblossom?
In hindsight..I didn't mean any disrespect to you West Coast Conservative..dean himself is just disrespect..
You know. Cow pie. Sweet cow pie. Pasture patty....
This only works, if you link every democrat who is in or running for office to dean and not allow them to call themselves "different type of democrats" or distance themselves.
The GOP has NOT done a good enough job of tying the democratic partys canidates to its base, or to Dean.
If they get around to tying the base to the canidates then they can use Dean as a whipping boy.
Until then, Dean is just going to make an ass of himself all on his own, by offsetting losses of big party contribuors with college kids and elitists, and mismanaging resources and blowing it all in every single dumb way.
A beautiful flower that springs from manure.
A person with a meager background who rises to commanding heights.
Rove came from a broken family only to become the most successful political advisor/consultant in the history of this country.
"Turdblossom"?
;> ;> ;>
Uh, the Democrats do a good enough job themsleves of tying their loony base to the entire party. That's why they have forever aliented giant chunks of this country.
"I want my country back!"
I want mine back too, you stinking Leftists.
I think this would be the ideal DNC theme song (by Green Day) and would fit right in with the Deaniac cool lefty attitude:
"Minority"
I want to be the minority
I don't need your authority
Down with the moral majority
'Cause I want to be the minority
I pledge allegiance to the underworld
One nation under dog
There of which I stand alone
A face in the crowd
Unsung, against the mold
Without a doubt
Singled out
The only way I know
I want to be the minority
I don't need your authority
Down with the moral majority
'Cause I want to be the minority
Stepped out of the line
Like a sheep runs from the herd
Marching out of time
To my own beat now
The only way I know
One light, one mind
Flashing in the dark
Blinded by the silence of a thousand broken hearts
"For crying out loud" she screamed unto me
A free for all
F*** 'em all
You are your own sight
I want to be the minority
I don't need your authority
Down with the moral majority
'Cause I want to be the minority
I'm not suggesting that Karl gets his powers from Satan. Satan ain't the only guy in town who can dole out the magics.
Ever see the Kids in the Hall skit, Evan? The guy with Satanic powers to sell things?
Rove: "I... win... elections!
[cuts to Hell]
Satan: [laughing] "And so you always shall!" [continues laughing]
Rove, clutching a "Bush/Cheney '04" bumper sticker, pointed towards the sky: "YES! Thank you, Satan!"
Jeez.
Why do all the bad guys on TV and in the movies get to do all the laughing?
"Turdblossom"? LOL
Evil laughs sound cooler? I don't know.
I just loved that skit the moment I saw it.
Ya can't polish a turd...
