suddenly there are signs all over the place that immigration has become one of the nation's most fashionable topics
It came to the forefront when Hillary Clinton came out in opposition to illegal immigration. She sees this as a way to position herself to the right of the Republican leadership. Slick move. Now, they are forced to address the issue---and not as 'they are only taking jobs Americans won't take', but as a real security and economic threat.
