Al Franken just announced on Err America that he is NOT running for the MN seat in 2006. But it sounds like 2008 is in the cards.
He cried and whined about the "right-wing" media. It was sad ... Ugh ...

As expected.
And he will not run in 2008 either.

I think he just signed a new contract with AIRHEAD AMERICA till 2007 that's really the reason. He supposedly will try in 2008.

By 2008 the average party member will be of Franken's caliber and ready to embrace him fully. I figure that they will be down about 15% by then.

He knows he'd lose.
He's hoping to run against a Republican with a "name" for the attention. Nothing in it for him to be one of a dozen on both aisles fighting for an open seat.
To: infoguy
Apparently he wasn't good enough, he wasn't smart enough and doggone it, people didn't like him.
To: infoguy
Does this mean he is smarter than Keyes or Buchanan, two commentaters who thought they could be elected?

Franken makes an announcement that he will not do something that no one wants him to do? Doesn't he have anything better to talk about on his show?
