LOS ANGELES: Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars is being sued for $US10 million ($NZ14.42 million) in palimony by a former girlfriend who has accused him of reneging on a promise to take care of her for life.
According to the lawsuit filed in a Los Angeles court on Tuesday, the woman, Robbie Mantooth, said she met Mars in 1990 and the two became lovers. She said she gave up her career as a documentary filmmaker and moved into the heavy metal guitarist's Malibu home with him.
She said Mars promised her repeatedly that he would always provide for her financially and that the couple had agreed to divide all their property if they split up.
Their relationship ended in December 2004 and Mantooth said Mars denied there was any oral agreement between them and had given her no financial support.
Mantooth is asking a judge to award her half of the rocker's property as well as monthly support and damages.
A representative for Mars could not be reached for comment.
When did Ozzy become an actor?
When they learned he could deliver his lines with more sincerity than Leonardo DiCaprio. ;)
Cohabitation is not Marriage.. do bad you didn't realize that earlier.
Perhaps this has something to do with the Crue's reunion tour and the fact that Mick may have a little extra cash.
Rock and Roll PING! email Weegee to get on/off this list (or grab it yourself to PING the rest)

When did reality become TV?
Wow, does that bring back bad memories. My wife has AS, too. I remember the first morning when she literally could not get out of bed. She said it was like fire in her hips when she'd move.
We found that the best tx was a steriod shot in the joint causing trouble: hips, wrist, ankle, even toes. Of course, the most serious one is the occasional iritis which cause cause permanent vision problems if untreated. Steroid drops clear that up quickly so we keep some around all the time.
My wife's AS is fairly mild and not chronic, but episodic. Have you noticed that your wife's problems are exacerbated by emotional extremes? When my wife gets very upset, the iritis starts up again.
AS is a weird duck. We always thought it was part of our infertility troubles. Once we had our daughter, my wife's AS became suppressed for several years (even though it was stressful!).
