BAD BILL. National ID's are bad too.
I detest government power over people, but from a logical standpoint right now a person Social Sercurity number is used as the defacto National ID (that house has already left the barn by about 70 years back), which lead to a lot of identity theft and fraud. But if there is an official National ID that is solely for identification purposes, this will cut down on identity theft and fraud. Plus a National ID will be another reason to get rid of Social Security altogether.
