Two lies contained herein: "This is not a frivolous lawsuit." And ". . . no alcohol was involved." But he'll get a Trump-like moment when some judge says, "Motion dismissed."

The Apprentice is entertainment, first and foremost. It is as absurd to sue the show for requiring healthy (and presumably attractive) people than it would have been for the same person to sue the producers of Pretty Woman for not considering him for the Julia Roberts character in that movie.

OK get a blind Apprentice to be the next Project Manager and when he fails have Trump tell him the Board Room:
"How could you not see what was going on!"

"... no alcohol was involved" has nothing to do with the case. It is frivilous though. Overall, I don't waste my time watching any of those programs...

I am not against this guy. It's billed as an interview and according to ADA (as flawed as it is) If he's mentally capable, let him have a try at it.
A spinal cord injury doesn't mean he's an idiot, however it would be difficult to walk around jobsites.

You're fired moron! How can a disabled person renovate a motel, etc. Damn, I HATE lawyers

Just a thought...would casting this person on the show create a liability? I know this sounds terrible, but things like this happen everyday. If Trump told this guy "Your fired", would there be an impending lawsuit b/c of his disability?
I am all for equal rights--but where there is money, there is controversy.

A quadriplegic lawyer has sued producers of NBC's "The Apprentice," saying the tryouts for the popular reality show discriminate by requiring that would-be contestants be in excellent physical health.Next: Ugly people sue to demand equal access to TV airtime.

But I rarely see a person with a disability on anything" on television. He should watch situation comedies then. It's a staple of situation comedies to have a male neighbor/brother/family member with the IQ of a guppy - if he isn't the male lead of the show. Bob Newhart's shows were so weak he always had to have *two* morons to play off of.

So when some gimp with kidney failure croaks under the stress of participating in the show they won't sue for wrongful death?
Yeah, right.
If a guy in a wheelchair is "just the same as everyone else" then he can get his a$$ out of the chair and go get me a beer.
Oh, but that's right, he's NOT like everyone else.
Typical liberals.

Schottel called himself a fan of the real-estate mogul Trump, who he doesn't believe condones discrimination... Nah, but he only seems to hire white males. Judging by the winners of the first two seasons and the people who come out of the shadows occasionally as Trump's upper management, they are *all* white males, other than Carolyn - and who knows what she really does other than the show?
If Trump were a Republican, he'd have Jesse Jackass and the other race-baiters breathing down his neck by now.
And, BTW, how tough is their screening process if they still let Verna on the shows who was walking off by the second week?

The Texas AG is a Quad and is real likely to be the next Gov of Texas. As a "gimp" and in a wheelchair I faced a daily battle with this type of crap for 25 years of work.
This guy should be given a try without regard to his disability.
To: BroncosFan
They've said plenty of things on that show that could be actionable if this were treated like a real job interview. Particularly comments dealing with age and sex.
