schiffer's younger brother Tom was a president of the Texas Rangers when W was part owner and I believe the 2 were golfing buddies.

Bob S. was also chosen by both sides for the 3rd debate as moderator..

I don't think there is any evidence that Schieffer has an axe to grind, and while he works for Rather's network I don't think you should tar everyone with the same brush.. I don't think anyone would compare someone who's been doing reporting for 30 years and not had a scandle with someone who popped up last year as equals.

I guess you missed Schieffer's comment on hardball about not having a national election ... that a few states decided who would be President and the rest are stuck with their decision

Schieffer outted himself with that comment
