Sorry, but I am tired of people who show up here to stir the pot, and this looks like one of these occasions to me.

We know MurryMom is our resident troll, kept around for target practice. The other poster has not shown troll tendencies by his previous posts.

If Gannon used a quote from someone and didn't fact check, that is a significant journalistic lapse. Just because Petah Jennings does it doesn't mean it is therefore not a serious manner when one of our own does it.

A failure to fact check one time is an error. It is not a cause for resignation, especially if it was an honest mistake and not a deliberate attempt to deceive.

Why should one error cause someone to post that he is leaving "for the welfare of his family?"

I am not going to get sidetracked by arguing about the quote. THAT isn't the reason for Gannon's quitting.
