Because of the attention being paid to me I find it is no longer possible to effectively be a reporter for Talon News. In consideration of the welfare of me and my family I have decided to return to private life.

I don't think there is any evidence that Schieffer has an axe to grind, and while he works for Rather's network I don't think you should tar everyone with the same brush..

I guess you missed Schieffer's comment on hardball about not having a national election ... that a few states decided who would be President and the rest are stuck with their decision

without having read the full comments.. one take on that statement is that since only a handle full of states are competitive only a few states see active campaigning and commercials and in that sense it may not be "national"....what's so kookie about that.
