Because of the attention being paid to me I find it is no longer possible to effectively be a reporter for Talon News. In consideration of the welfare of me and my family I have decided to return to private life.
Thank you to all those who supported me.
I am talking about one specific poster who has been lumped into the trolls, not the others. You are so wrapped up in the emotions of this story that you can't even keep things straight. Which is why I am saying - we should all chill out and see what comes out over the next couple of days, lest we end up with another DITHF moment. We screw up when we let our emotions and paranoia overcome our rational abilities.

when Joseph Welch was representing the Army versus McCarthy, he had a serious talk with his staff. He ask them to search their lives and be sure there was nothing whatever in their backgrounds that could possibly embarrass them. If there was anything at all, he didn't want to use them (those staff members) during the hearings.
This was because he knew the tactics of Roy Cohn too well and knew that they would not hesitate to destroy anyone.
Well, it happened. A young staffer failed to disclose that he had subscribed to some magazine or something that was considered to be a commie rag. It was fairly innocent but they used it.
That resulted in the famous line from Welch, "Till this moment, sir .... and so on."
Anyway, my point is that you'd better not even have a speeding ticket in your life if you take on the left because they will not hesitate to destroy you.
Look at Bill Cosby when he took a step off the reservation.

Like I said, the boy didn't always make sense. But I don't think he's a troll like the others on this thread dragging in allegations from DU. And he was correct about Gannon using a bogus quote.
You're a better person than to play the gender card. Plenty of women AND men on this thread getting overly-emotional without a whole lotta facts.

Good observation. The problem with many trolls is that they just can't get the proper perspective on an issue, because they don't understand the conservative viewpoint. It trips them up time and again.
I have a really good sense for trolls. This one is sophisticated, but there are too many clues for me to render any other judgement.
Actually, I've been here for about an hour, trying to catch up to the end of the thread!
schiffer's younger brother Tom was a president of the Texas Rangers when W was part owner and I believe the 2 were golfing buddies.
Bob S. was also chosen by both sides for the 3rd debate as moderator..
I don't think there is any evidence that Schieffer has an axe to grind, and while he works for Rather's network I don't think you should tar everyone with the same brush.. I don't think anyone would compare someone who's been doing reporting for 30 years and not had a scandle with someone who popped up last year as equals.
So do I. We had plenty on this thread. But he was attacked early on for saying that Gannon used a bogus quote - and that turned out to be true.

Yes, I remember this very well. Les Kinsolving got in. Perhaps I'm wrong in timeline, but I think Jeff Gannon got in afterwards. But I remember the WND battle well.
