Hearing such news makes me wish we had a torture penalty that was somehow equal in cruelty toward the guilty.

At least the guilty would know what they were bringing onto themselves.

And it might provide an opportunity for either mercy or revenge for the wronged family and friends.

A former Monrovia gang member

Isn't that where Trader Joe's is headquartered? Maybe he was just sore that they were out of Two Buck Chuck.

This is a tragic situation. Unfortunatly, the Perp will not get the needle he deserves.

where is "Monrovia" and what kind of gang is there?

I know some freepers hate the idea of a dna bank, but to me, it makes sense to keep track of convicted felons dna....

Their web site lists their west coast address as Monrovia.

I mentioned that because I am currently enjoying some dried cherries from Trader Joes, and Monrovia is stamped on the bag. I believe that their executive offices are in Monrovia, although they were founded elsewhere in the area.

Any first hand experience with Two Buck Chuck?

The web site says "Trader Joe's actually began in 1958 as a chain of convenience stores called Pronto Markets in the Los Angeles area." It lists Monrovia for west coast contact info and Needham, MA for east coast contact info.

Charles Shaw Wines, aka Two Buck Chuck (Three Buck Chuck here in Washington) was created by Fred Franzia, a nephew of one of the Gallo Brothers, who took advantage of the late 90s glut of cheap Central Valley grapes to produce a discount wine targeted to yuppies.

Its actually not too bad (a step above Manishevitz, but below Gato Negro), and their Shiraz and Cabernet is drinkable. Remember, however, that there is a good reason why Central Valley wines have traditionally come in boxes and jugs. Two Buck Chuck is merely Carlo Rossi packaged for the Brie and Latte set. The marketing genius of the Gallo family continues.

I have purchased the Oregon Riesling in my few trips to Trader Joe's. I will check out the Two Buck Chuck one of these times. Thanks, Clemenza :-)

Now if this was China this guy would be hanging in a week. But since its "give all the breaks to the criminal USA" the rope won't be used in our lifetime.

Chi Omegas were Ted Bundy's downfall.
