"Steffen discussed the rumors on the conservative Web site FreeRepublic.com during the summer of 2004. He posted them under the name NCPAC, a reference to one of his early employers, the National Conservative Political Action Committee."

They even put an active link to FR in the body of the article. I haven't seen that done before. Post have it out for us?
How in the world did they find out he was NCPAC?
In general those guys are bloodless, sexless and don't turn your backs on them a second.
So, never believe it when someone says one of them had an extracurricular affair, or whatever. Never happens. Can't!
It's hard to find any Republican politician nowadays who makes a habit of doing the right thing. If Gov. Ehrlich runs for the WH in 2008, he can count on my support.
Seems like I remember butting heads over something with NCPAC. Don't remember what, though...
I am trying to process this, but can;t seem to get a handle.
If I read it right, then this wasn't a good moment for NCPAC or FR.
Am I missing something?
Hey, FR should get credit for its skepticism!
I'm guessing that he doesn't stay unemployed long.
This is Hugh!
If it is the same story, I heard it from my mom who lives in Maryland. I don't think she read anything about it on FR.
So, the story is out there.
FRom Right Thinking Girl
Baltimore Mayor - The Barking Moonbat of Maryland
http://rightthinkinggirl.typepad.com/right_thinking_girl/2004/06/baltimore_mayor.html
Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley spoke at a Kerry fundraiser on June 28, 2004 and said this:
"I remember after the attacks of September 11, as Mayor of the city, I was very, very worried about Al Qaeda... and still am. But I am even more worried about the actions and inactions of the Bush administration."
More worried about Bush than AQ? When was the last time Bush beheaded somebody? When was the last time that Bush flew some aircraft into buildings?
I am all for reasoned debate, but this kind of absurd statement makes me disregard everything that might come out of his mouth. O'Malley has been an abject failure as mayor over in Baltimore, as can be typified by the rash of grotesque and miserable crimes that have taken place over the past few months. There were some children beheaded recently in his city. An elderly woman who informed on drug dealers in her neighborhood was literally firebombed in her house. Baltimore, a heavily democratic city, is making waves for being one of the most violent cities in the country.
With the rhetoric the Mayor is using, I certainly hope that reasonable democrats will distance themselves from him.

Gee, I didn't know that. His father-in-law is a real bonehead though.
Ehrlich said an apology was premature and denied any personal involvement in spreading the rumor.
Way to go!!! These demorats demanding apologies is getting really old. Have they never heard the term "suck it up"?
