LOL! Isn't that just a little like saying we might learn soon whether the earth is round or flat? NCPAC has already admitted he was responsible for spreading the false, scurrilous allegations against Mayor O'Malley.
Congrats again to Gov. Ehrlich for doing the right thing, for once by a Repukie pol.
How I remember the happiness of so many Baltimore citizens that finally they were getting rid of the hapless Schmoke for what seemed then to be a happening citizen bent on improving Baltimore, its crime, its appeal to business.
Only to have O'Malley become one of the biggest Dem shills in the country, selling his soul for that Baltimore bastian of dishonest Democrats, regularly thieving elections since I was a child.
It makes me despise O'Malley even more. Someone should tell him that the Dems have a plethora of handsome loud mouth shills. He'll go nowhere.
The Baltimore Sun's been after me too, a Sunspot subscriber almost a daily visitor to my Blog.
Although, hey, I'm nobody and I left Merryland a year and half ago because they tax the few working citizens they have left to death.
Now I've got Biden and he hates me too.
In time, each of us reveals a little bit about ourselves as we post. "When I grew up in xxxx," etc. If you are going to be as open as NCPAC was in your posts, it isn't hard for someone to connect the dots. For all we know, NCPAC told a few people his FReeper name.
I wish NCPAC well ... I think it is a bum deal given what I've seen posted on the indicated thread. But I guess when one serves in a political job, being jettisoned for political reasons is part of the job description. [there, did I give away that I was a government employee? answer: no, but you see how I could?]
LOL
Count on your support?!? ROTFLMAO!!!! You'll be screaming your cowardly, bloody head off at that right-wing extremist before spring '08.
Why would it reflect poorly on FR? Because the ComPost told you it should?
Which brings up the question: Do Freepers have an option to delete past posts from memory? Some of the posts in this forum make me laugh like crazy -- they are so funny. But liberals are so serious. It would be in character for them to use "banter" as charges against a person. MSM is angry that they are getting called on bias, and that bloggers exist. I hear "payback comin' whistling in their winds...
Repukie?
No, it doesn't.
How old are you? 13?
"In an interview, Steffen, 45, said the postings were his. When asked if he was part of an organized effort to disseminate the rumors, he said, "No comment." "
The correct answer to this question was "No" but Joe apparently could not lie.
I see nothing honorable about this conduct other than handing the democrats an argument that the Maryland Republican Party plays dirty. The Governor dd the right thing but let's not comfort ourselves with the canard that this guy did.
The objective is to re-elect Ehrlich. I know him and his family very well and he is absolutely above this. But his reputation and credibility is harmed when he is found to associate with rumor mongers.
When you work for the Governor, you should know that you are his representative in all that you do.
P.S. Was Mr. Steffens the "source" for the original post on FR?
She runs around in tennies.
Another sign of dem desperation to target a poster on an internet forum. FreeRepublic has taken on a higher profile in the past year and lurker attendance has got to be at an all-time high.
If a Democrat working for Mike Miller (Marland's Senate President) engaged in the same conduct, what would you say?
Thanks for setting the Republican effort in Maryland back. we'll see this in the next election cycle and it won't look good for our good Governor. I, for one, will not engage in sugary praise for your lack of judgment.
We are better than the Democrats are because our ideas are better, we place America first, and we adhere to the principles that made this Nation the greatest on earth. Not because we are better human beings.
Shame on you.
There's another way it could be done, or at least verified, in certain instances. If an 'investigator' knows another's movements (attending frequent meetings, public functions, etc.) and suspects he/she might be a particular poster, you simply match up the times when the poster could not have posted to FR with the posting times of the person in question. If over a period of time the person's 'public times' never match their post times, they're likely the person.
This would work best for frequent posters, of course.
You're a standup guy, although it bothers me about the outing. You did nothing wrong, IMO.
We're behind ya. Good luck!
