Security flaws affect Windows, Internet Explorer, others Feb. 8, 2005 SEATTLE - Microsoft Corp. released eight security fixes Tuesday that carry its highest threat rating and urged computer users to install them quickly because all the vulnerabilities they address could let attackers take complete control of systems.
Seven of the security vulnerabilities Microsoft marked "critical" affect the Windows operating system and related software, including the Internet Explorer browser, media player and instant messaging program. The eighth is with the Redmond software maker's Office XP business software. The patches can be downloaded at....

got a download link?
I think it is in the article.
Just downloaded all 9 of them for XP, now I have to run things for a while to make sure they haven't screwed anything up. Some of their previous patches for 98SE and the 5.5 browser made things worse crash wise.
Good luck!!
Anyone point me to where I can download and save these patches instead of the easy install path? Thanks
my download showed 11 patches and 2 in office. Had to reboot three times to get things up and running correctly (wanted to launch in safe mode.)
The correct term is "deja vu"

has patches in an easy to view format. If you wanted to download various patches to put on a network drive or CD to deploy to a number of machines it gives you a good overview.
Today's patches aren't up yet, though.

This is the best all in one resource I've found if you want to save these patches to disk. If you want to burn a CD for friends with dial up connection. I was hoping Microsoft would make it easier.

Thanks for the link. It looks like they're uploading from their own servers too and not Microsoft's.
I know that site. That exactly what Microsoft should have to make it easy to download and save these patches and service packs. I have my suspicions why they don't want people to make CDs with these patches/service packs
Dig deeper and you'll see they link to MicroSoft servers. What you see are referals... same as an FR thread does when it links you to a news source
Yup you're right I just did and they do link to Microsoft servers.
