Looks like someone stuck a plunger on his nose, twisted it HARD counterclockwise, and his face stuck that way.

Poor Burt. At one point, this guy was one of the coolest around, but then fame and ego took their toll. I'd put him on the list of all-time Hollywood ego don't-read-my-own-scripts disasters alongside Eddie Murphy and Steven Seagal.
You could see the pain when he didn't win that Oscar for Boogie Nights.
Smokey & the Bandit was great though.

When I saw the superbowl ad with him in it, my first thought was that it was an imposter, playing Bert.

I wouldn't have known him from the picture, but then he is almost 70 years old.....nature does take a toll

Age is a killer. It turns the beautiful into the average, the average into the ugly, then eventually, all into the decaying corpse.
Have a happy day!

Pelosi's face job is much worse...go pick on her.
Burt has fallen quite a way from the days when he was probably the coolest guy in America, i.e., when he was first starting out and Doris Day took such a liking to him.
I liked him best in The Longest Yard, especially the beginning.
