The dawn brings duty,
in all its forms:
youth needs guidance,
and someone to teach them,

the Knight does great work
and sometimes will reach them,
but into the night-time,
the verse and the muse
will mix and will stroll
on the common under the boughs
quiet time for quiet people.

All too soon, it ends,
and back to the tent we must go,
softly the rain falls on cloak and on buckler,
but the heart never wanes, or dampens
not with thoughts liek these to warm them.

Special Characters could not be translated.

That's what makes them "special"!

I'm not sure - it was listed as a WTC Remembrance, so it could be neither!

And so, Dear FRiends, that time has hit again, when "Taps" will play across the compound, and Sarge must hit the rack once more.

But, there's always another time!

I'll be back again - promise!

I'm great!! Sorry to hear about the Flagletts! FLu is going around here pretty bad - I'm hoping we steer clear! So far so good this winter. (Is that tempting fate?) Other than my bout with bronchitis right before Jake was born we've all been pretty healthy. Knocking very loudly on wood here!!!

Well, you have kids, so you know - sometimes the young ones don't feel so good. And then Dad doesn't feel so good after taking care of them. :)

I finally got a flu shot a couple of weeks ago, which actually works out well. Historically, I get the flu like clockwork during the first week in March.

Yupper Ma, those are the ones that did not get baked. So good of you to have some on hand. Cute little Republican elephant there!

Mylife is waiting for those cookies and milk. The grease on the pork chops has him loafing around like a pet. LOL
Off the Divan mylife, step lively!

WOO HOO Colonel Dear where are you??
