"In my life, I've walked out on only a handfull of movies. But I didn't walk out of them because of their messages. I walked out because they were lousy and boring. However, I cannot honestly say that I will never walk out of a movie because I'm offended by its theme. Can you?"

I can. It's a ridiculous reason to walk out of a movie. Why would I walk out of a movie because of it's message? It's not mind control, my brain isn't going to rebel and be consumed by a theme I don't believe in. I find being offended by a theme weird--it's just someone expressing a point of view, and what's wrong with that?

I'm not worried about mind control either but I'm still not 100% certain that I would not walk out of a movie because of its message, whether real, or inferred by me.
