It's a movie...it's a story...Just got back from "Finding Neverland." FABULOUS, FABULOUS, FABULOUS. There have been so many great movies this year. I recommend this to Freepers. Proves you can have a great movie without sex and violence.

This movie sounds like a scam and I will NOT watch it. False advertising of the highest order.

I actually was looking forward to seeing this movie, but EVERYBODY felt compelled to blab about the ending, so I guess I'll just wait till its on cable.

Eastwood usually makes quite a good film.

oh for Pete's sake. Clint made a movie about a book. (A book he didn't write.) Now he's villified for it.

life is good if there's nothing more to fret about .

Next 'Of Mice and Men' will be villified for being about killing the retarded.

I think that the dispute over the movie is just that the movie is advertised as a feel good story about boxing and it is really about euthanasia. Medved says that there are a lot of people who just don't want to see that because it would upset them and that the movie promotion is purposely deceptive. I know that I could handle it, but I also know that my daughter might not be able to.

This movie was advertised as a feel good movie- About a woman who wants to box and...
well it turns out it's about Euthanasia. Euthanasia is the central theme.

And it doesn't even in any way glorify it. I would say it's an enjoyable movie EVEN if you find that scene disgusting.

That was my least favorite movie from last year. I'm tired of child molestation themes...very yucky movie.

Another movie that won rave review and that I found awful..."American Beauty".

I felt good about Old Yeller, till they euthenized him.

was I tricked? Medved was telling people not long ago, that if they didn't like the premise of The Passion, not to see
it.

Why could that not apply the same here?

The real dispute came because Medved warned people that the movie wasn't a feel good film that it was about euthanasia and left him feeling down, in his review. The producers jumped all over Medved, claiming that he gave away the ending and started panning Medved as a reviewer. Medved got angry because he had purposely avoided giving away the ending, unlike some other reviewers. Medved dug his feet in and the story has been escalating ever since.

You don't see a difference between euthanizing a rabid dog and euthanizing a paralyzed young woman?
