Oh well, I guess it's all right. We'll be at the technological mercy of China and India, but By God, we'll have saved our souls!
You're right. Savings souls is more important.
I doubt it. Even if it did, it wouldn't be because of the "Creationists."
You may be interested in this latest article from Science. Looks like the BIG BUCKS are in Darwinism. It *does* have the ACLU and the evolutionists on it's side, after all.

"We'll be at the technological mercy of China and India, but By God, we'll have saved our souls!"
Yep - and those evil, tax-paying gays still won't be able to marry! Who cares that you'll have to go overseas for any real science?
I fail to see how teaching or not teaching evolution could possibly affect the US's technological edge. America has long since been loosing its technological edge, and I can guarantee you it has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not evolution is taught in schools. I am personally against evolution. However, I have always thought both creationism and evolution should be taught in an unbiased way, and let each student make his or her own mind up about what he or she believes to be truth. There is nothing wrong with healthy debate. Healthy debate keeps minds open to the truth. I am leary of any system that teaches only one version but shares nothing about other versions.
I attended a 4 year Bible College. In this Bible College, as is the case of most Bible Colleges, taught not only creationism, but evolution as well, and made a comparison between the two ideas. Because of this, I know understand why there are some people who follow the false notion of evolution. The evolution argument is logical, far fetched, but logical.
