My first letter to the editor was about a kind column toward America written by Lorrie Goldstein, editor of the Toronto Sun. With all the venom being spread, I was grateful.
I received such a nice reply.
So what does the Canadian parliament do?
So I've noticed. "Journalists" are too lazy to work, too scared to steal.
At least lawyers will steal every legal or extra-legal chance they get.
Pierre Trudeau, I told them, idolized Chinese dictator Mao Tse-tung, who slaughtered 60 million of his countrymen, and Cuban dictator Fidel Castro, who has turned his island nation into an impoverished slave camp.
They gasped at how Canadians could repeatedly elect a leader who would hero worship monsters like Mao and Castro.
Jean Chretien, I added, publicly suggested Americans got what they deserved with the terrorist attacks on 9/11 because of their alleged wealth, greed and power.
We have some politicians in our house and senate with exactly those same views.
Curious ... where's Lake Chapala?
bump for our freinds at Free Dominion!
My eleven-year-old son was complaining of stomach pain last week. My doctor wrote a perscription so he will get an ultrasound of his abdomen to see what seems to be the problem. The ultrasound clinic wasn't able to see him and told me they are fully booked until next Thursday. So, regardless of the potential severity of the problem with my son, they won't even be able to find out for another week.
Imagine if you will that he has something very wrong in him - perhaps an appendix that's about to burst, or internal bleeding or a punctured liver - now you know the legacy of Canada's socialized health care.
My mother waited for six months just to see a specialist for her damaged knees - and another 18 months for the knee replacement surgery on the first one and another 18 months for the second. She suffered in constant pain for two years before the operation even took place.
That's Canada's universal health care for you - everyone gets the same crappy and slow service. No wonder those with money go to the US to get surgery.
Oh, and my son's fine now, thank God.
They keep saying that, but I don't think they really mean it. My guess is we could get a pretty solid fund going that would help pay for them to leave if they also promised to renounce US citizenship. I think it would be a fund largely unused.
It seems like journalists are everybody's favorite punching bag -- and deservedly so.
'But some of my best friends are journalists" -- just kidding.
I'm one of these intelligent people who avoid these bad news bearers like the plague they are. Who needs these joy-suckers to rob life of every triumph, joy and pleasure? Better if they had not be born, as they curse every day of their existences.
They have nothing to offer but their despair, depression, doom, desperation, dysfunction, disabilities, diseases, disorders, demagoguery, downers, on and on. That's probably why they're collectively known as the D Party. They are a drag on society.
It's time for renewal, rejoicing, rebirth, rehabilitation, resurrection, revival, respect, reverence. reflection, on and on -- as the R Party. They are a republic for which it stands...
Maybe I'll vacation in his part of Canada this year.
