Like politics, some people just see what they want.

If you missed the no-pressured passes McNabb tossed to the defense, then you simply didn't want to see them. Fortunately (if you are an Eagles fan), both passes were dropped.

The most critical was actually a running situation. McNabb dropped back and just hit the defensive back in the numbers in the endzone. If the defender would have caught it and taken two steps to his right, he could have broken straight to the sideline and then straight up field for a score.

The game, at that point, was close. Once McNabb pays for his blunders, he usually does a total tank.

Most overrated QB in history: Terry Bradshaw by a large margin. Look, 95% of the QBs playing at the time in the game would have won those superbowls when paired up with the best receivers the game had ever seen at at the time, the greatest defensive line to ever play football and a top 3 Offensive line for the time. Terry got lucky to be in the right place at the right time. And yes, I actually did watch these games and Swann hauled in bad throw after bad throw. The guy was magic.

Most underrated QB in history: Tough one, Dave Kreig. Think Tim Hassleback today.

For last season,
Most Overrated: Michael "how many plays can I memorize" Vick. By the way, the reason he didn't have a lot of rushing TDs last season is becuase he told not to, not because he can't.

Most Underrated: Tom Brady, ss much as I hate to say this. Can't stand the Pats, but this guy wins every big game he plays, even if the refs have to give him a few a long the way.

Superbowl prediction:

New England 41
Philadelphia 10

http://www.collegefootballnews.com/Top_100_Players/Top_100_Players_18_Archie_Manning.htm

"Not blessed with any talent around him, the No. 2 pick in the 1971 NFL draft spent 14 years with New Orleans, Houston and Minnesota throwing for 125 touchdowns and 173 interceptions playing on miserably bad teams. Few quarterbacks were as beaten and battered as Manning was behind some of the worst offensive lines the NFL has ever seen. Manning's still the New Orleans career leader in total yards and touchdown passes (115)."

I never heard Archie whine or complain. I never heard him put down on any player or coach.

Nice analysis. Like nearly everyone else, I'm willing to give Vick the benefit of the doubt, for now. I think he's got 2 years left to establish that he's a legitimate QB. The Falcons have invested 4 years in Vick, are they willing to invest 7 or 8 hoping Vick lives up to the hype?

" Actually he said that McNabb was so mediocre"

I don't believe Rush EVER said McN was mediocre. Show a quote please.

+ Vick is the most exciting player to watch since Barry Sanders

Yeah, that he is. Montana, on the other hand, was not real exciting. But if the 49'ers were within a TD with possession and under a minute to go Montana was money. He pulled more games out of his @$$ than anyone.

Still, as much as I respected (and hated) Montana, I still think the greatest QB of all time was Johnny U....

I've spent my whole life being silly, so yes, I can "live with being so silly".

However, my prediction is legit, do you have a pregame prediction?

Marino has all the records but no rings. Same thing with Fran Tarkington.

Being a Browns fan I can tell you that Bradshaw was a great quaterback, the guy could throw a 60 yard pass right on the money. ANd he motivated his teammates to be better than they were on occasion. He's got 4 rings, count'em !

"As much as I hate the Eagles, you'll never hear me accuse McNabb of being a bad, overhyped QB."

Yup, he didn't accuse McN of being a 'bad, overhyped' QB. He said he was good and didn't need the MEDIA HYPE. I guess it could be interpreted either way, but Rush has stated this in so many words numerous times since. He was commenting on the MEDIA OVERHYPE, not McNabb's quality.

I notice you totally ignored the substance of my argument against Bradshaw and came back with the guy could throw 60 yard passes right on the money. If this were the case, why did Stallworth and Swann have to make acrobatic catches all the time? Because Bradshaw was accurate at 60 yards, just not 15 or 25 yards?

The Browns had some great teams and had leads in games they should have won and Bradshaw always came up with a play to beat them. I agonized through those years because the Browns had great teams and had they beat Pittsburg they would have won the Super Bowl. The guy was incredible on long passes, and was a great scrambler and could throw on the run as good as anyone.

Vick was cleared to play after 5 games and he chose to set out the rest. Dan Reeves (his coach at the time) even said as much at a press conference.

Got to run to the store to get beer for the game. I'll leave you with two words, don't take this in malice.

I am sure Stallworth and Swan were capable of making acrobatic catches and did so, but I have seen Bradshaw play many times and my memory is of him drilling recievers with pinpoint passes time after time.

Of course nobody throws perfect every time but Bradshaws records should speak for themselves. About the only knock I have on him is that he, like Favre threw a little too hard. It does take an outstanding receiver to catch those bullets.
