JUST FOR TODAY

As I go through some "troubles" in my own life, I've worked out this "formula" to help me be a useful and happy person. See if it doesn't work for you!

JUST FOR TODAY: I will try to live through this day only, and not tackle my whole life problem at once.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will be happy. I will assume to be true what Abraham Lincoln said: "Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be."

JUST FOR TODAY: I will try to strengthen my mind. I will study. I will learn something useful. I will read something that requires effort, thought and concentration.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will adjust myself to what is, and not try to adjust everything to my own desires.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will exercise my soul in three ways: I will do somebody a good turn, and not get found out. I will do at least two things I don't want to do just for exercise. I will not show anyone that my feelings are hurt; they may be hurt, but today I will not show it.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will be agreeable. I will look as well as I can, dress becomingly, talk low, act courteously, criticize not one bit, not find fault with anything, and not try to improve or regulate anybody but myself.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will have a program. I may not follow it exactly, but I will have lt. I will save myself from two pests: hurry and indecision.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will have a quiet half hour all by myself. During this half hour, I will try and get a better perspective of my life.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will be unafraid. Especially I will not be afraid to enjoy what is beautiful, and to believe that as I give to the world, so the world will give back to me.

I saw someone on the tube say today that it would all come down to Mc Nabb being more mobile than in the PAST L0L

Good luck with that! Snort!

I don't think McNabb will even be a factor.

Doors

We open so many doors
along life's traverse
We laugh in sunshine
mope in rains
pull ourselves up
by bootstrap reins
stick out our neck
with rhyming words
and learn that we are not toads

We learn to laugh along the way
after we've done a long dark day
and awoke to see the sun had been
up and shinning when we've not been in
to taking life by lead and strutting around
filling our need of mixing up the rough
and soft of life lifting us aloft...

My larder full, my friends a plenty
a poets loft is never empty
dusty, yes from lack of use
or from stimulating the juice
that keeps us humming to the brim
of words falling on the page to her and him,
in The Sounds Of Silence.

But for today, as the dancers are spinning
and the words are flowing
and the peace we're winning,
I'm glad to be in a place
and see a bright and familiar face,
friends smiling across the space

Not so many true-hearts around
but here, in this place,
a cheek I trace
and a glance and a kiss I steal
as we measure the ballroom
once again, we two.

I'm still looking around for this Ferenc Cako. It seems he's made a big splash, yet there's not much detail. I am totally curious about the sand. I haven't sent it around yet and had better before I get distracted and forget.

Superbowl Monday is in full effect here at Warrior Radio.

My prediction for the football pool...

35-24....EAGLES WIN....EAGLES WIN!!!

And believe me that is VERY hard to say considering I'm a "from birth" Dallas fan.
