Because we are mean stingy conservatives and we want everyone else to suffer and die as does our glorious Emperor Chimpus Kahn!

Icky may be on to something here. Dubya could forgive the debt if these counries turn over the development of their natural rescources to Haliburton.

We could pass along the cost to the working poor and balloon the deficits to unheard of heights!

BWAHAHAHAHAHA

Forgiving debt without limiting future loans is a joke. I favor a total revamping of aid to developing nations. The aid should promote free enterprise, property rights, and the rule of law. In general, poverty results from the maldistribution of capitalism and democracy.

After all, we have the lowest foreign aid to GDP ratio in the entire developed world.

No, we don't. Or do you mean government foreign aid?

Actually I'm in favor of halting ALL foreign aid for a year or two to let the world know who's their daddy. Then start it up from a zero base and do it right this time.

I read more of Perkins intro to his book and his basic premise was that the US, through entities like the IMF, would loan more than the undeveloped country could ever hope to repay. Later they would come in and insure that the third world country stayed that way by offering "cures" to their debt problem that would invariably include hiking interest rates on their currency and tightening their internal money supply, forcing them to go back to the international well for funding.

Unlimited room for mischef, no doubt.

From his profile page, flying the Israel flag:

Not a troll. Just a new ID. And I didn't get banned with my old
one either, just thought I would change for better security.

Sounds like he may have been Trolling then, too?

Why don't we here in the US just take care of those debts for them. After all, we have the lowest foreign aid to GDP ratio in the entire developed world.

And your profile page says you weren't trolling under your old screen name, either.
