Welcome, FReepers! By Drew Johnston 02/04/05
Today is a monumental day, folks. It seems that the good folks at FreeRepublic have found out about our Tactical Assault Project and are descending on us en masse. Allow me to be the first to welcome what Im sure will be the first of many obnoxious, ignorant trolls.
Lets check out the comments:

Well, shucks folks, I don't think I've ever gotten my own ping before! Holy smokes, if this keeps up, I'm going to have to get me a publicity agent. I'm blazin' the trail!
Are these folks surprised that folks here lurk on their sites, or were they really dumb enough to think all we did was watch our own?
The Red Chinese connection is rather interesting. Otherwise, though, I fail to see how this is any different than their old playbook. Other than off-hand sniping value, there's nothing new going on that I didn't already figure on. Let this one go, folks.

Something about this doesn't pass the smell test.
I suspect the Admin: Thomas Ball in New York City is the actual owner. Even that name could have been changed after the initial registration. He or anyone else could easily register the website with a fake address. The Registrant's Email:root@onlinenic.com is obviously a fake and the
Admin Email:politicalstrategy@yahoo.com is an untraceable address.
If someone reports them to ICANN the scam would be revealed.

I say we "outsource" all of the Dem politicians. Say China or some obscure little village in Siberia.
Leave them there for a few years and if they make it back they might just like America.... Nah nevermind, that would never happen.

Anyone with an email address and a credit card can register a website name. After registration the Administrator can change any of the info to fake data. As long as the administrator responds to yearly emails to the Admin email address politicalstrategy@yahoo.com there would be no problems until the registration expires. That could be up to seven years.
There is no reason to assume that actual website owner is located in China.

The site looks to be very well funded. Is this a Soros project? The site could be set up by anyone with a few hundred dollars and some skills.
