Nigerian Muslim Militants "Pronounce Death Sentence" over Christian Students

Traditional Islamic law mandates death for those who leave Islam, and for non-Muslims who try to induce Muslims to leave Islam. That may have been a motive in the New Jersey murders -- and for those who don't believe that that sort of thing really happens, here is a story from Nigeria. From "Nigeria: Muslim Militants Target Expelled Christian Students," from Compass Direct, with thanks to JS:

February 3 (Compass) -- Muslim militants pronounced a death sentence on five Christian students expelled from public schools in November for conducting an evangelistic outreach.

The families of two of the students, Miss Hanatu Haruna Alkali and Abraham Adamu Misal, were attacked on January 26 when militants went to their family homes in the state of Gombe in northern Nigeria intending to kill them.

A sister of Alkali, who asked not to be named, reported to Compass from Gombe that Muslim militants have attacked the house several times. Family members fear for their lives.

Family Held At Gun Point

Rev. Oludare Aliu, national coordinator of the students’ ministry of the Evangelical Church of West Africa (ECWA), confirmed the report. “Muslim militants went to Gombe to … kill Hannatu, but fortunately, she was not at home at the time. The family was held at gun point. Hannatu’s father happens to be a former military officer. He wrestled with the militants and was able to disarmed one of them who had a gun. While he was fighting them, one of the militants stabbed Hannatu’s mother with a knife. She has been treated for the wounds.” Alkali is now in hiding.

More info in the original article here.

. Muslim Leaders Support Militants’ Actions

On January 25, Muslim leaders in Bauchi held a press conference. They called on all Muslims to defend Islam and to resist the demand by Christian leaders that the Muslim militants who killed Mr. Achi be brought to justice.

Alhaji Muhammad Dan Madami, who led the conference, said the Muslim leaders opposed the reinstatement of the Christian students and supported the activities of the Muslim militants. He also said the Nigerian government must not remove the heads of the two schools, both of whom are Muslims.

September 26, 2004 my daughter was Christened. I asked for a wop Priest but he was saying mass at the Cathedral. There was a Nigerian Priest that we got to do the Christening at the last minute. He did a beautiful job. It was indescribable how he handled the whole thing. Both my daughters were fascinated with him. We invited him to the reception after wards and he came.

Because of current events I asked him about Muslim persecution in his home country. He momentarily had a blank look and then he said it was very bad in the 80's but it was no problem now. I asked how come. He said QUOTE,""WE" shoot them." I was taken aback at a Catholic Priest saying this and said,"What?". Again he said ,"We shoot them. It was very bad in the early eighties. They would come in groups into the villages and do horrible things to the Christians. We were scared. Then one day a major Christian merchant who had family killed, threw open the doors of his warehouse and said,"Any man who will fight, I will give him a gun. And we went out and shot them."

"Everyone in Nigeria drive little motorcycles. Some of domestic manufacture and the rich drive Suzukis. The muslims wear a gown and when they rode down the road their gown would billow out. You could tell them from a long distance off. When they got close we would kill them. The muslims became afraid of the Christians."

At this point my sister walked up and broke in with some inane question and I did not have a chance to get any more information. It was an eye opening experience and I do truly believe he was a man of God regardless of what happened before he became a Priest.

Thought some may be interested.

More evidence that islam is not a religion, but a violent hate-filled death cult.

Wow, that some story.

I've heard some terrible stories from a Nigerian guy that ran errands and did deliveries for us at work a while back.

His brothers side of the family and his parents were massacred by Koranimals... limbs hacked, homes destroyed... very graphic stuff, inflicting the kind of misery that the hug-a-terrorist crowd never seem to understand.

After one look at a family picture of his dead brother and his murdered children, I think I felt the same way your Priest did.

I just read Imam Mohamed Kamal Mustafas manual and I'm trying not to leave any marks.

It was very eye opening especially after some of the tripe the Church teaches on these issues. My parish is conservative but I listen to others and am horrified. I bet these people would think a little different about the situation if they lived it.

Yup.. I've been to several Islamic countries lived as a dhimmi expat for a few years as well.

I've not seen anything as disturbing as what we discussed, but have heard plenty of stories of past Islamic atrocities from local non-Muslims. The fear that it will happen again is always with them... just under the surface. It's a side few visitors and tourists see or understand.
