Something to keep our eyes out for...I say we speak up more about our sovereignty and defend our rights as free people. I hate this nonsense.

A meeting has been scheduled at the USDA concerning this matter:
http://www.fsis.usda.gov/News_&_Events/NR_020205_01/index.asp
However, I fail to see how the US will be subject to these changes at all.
Treaties are not amendable without reapproval by our Senate.
So, although the organization may have been created from a treaty, I cannot believe their "will" defines ours in any sense.

These scum just wallow in making decisions for everyone else. We have so many non-elected sh*theads putting their noses in our business. What's worse our traitor government signs these treaties.

Interesting article on this.
These bills are being pushed by liberal democrat thugs (Waxman, Durbin) and the liberal AMA, not to mention pharmaceutcial and psychology interests who have a monetary gain in destroying alternative medicine and dietary supplements.
Conservative Republicans are mostly against it. If it passes, most vitamins will be banned or be too expensive to buy.

The Republicans better do their jobs, or they will loose more support to the Libertarian candidates.
The same sort of thing is happening with Building Codes.
I assume that China is exempt from all this?

Thank you for posting this - it's about time we started making noise about this. I wonder: whom to freep? To whom shall we phone/email?

First they came for ephedra.
Then they came for andro.
But I didn't object because I wasn't an athlete.

You know what, I love to get as pissed off as any one else and being a vegetarian and concerned about my health, this had me going for a good half an hour or so.
Then I started doing my research.
S722 was introduced and passed in 2003 - it banned supplements such as Ma Huang, steroid precursors, etc. It was called the "supplement safety act" of 2003 or some such nonsense like that.
HR 3377 doesn't exist.
I went onto a German drugstore site (I speak German) and found a nice vitamin C + Zinc supplement for 3.48 (that's about $4.50 with the American dollar being tanked these days). It wasn't $52.00
http://www.apotheke.de/shop/detail_artikel.php?ArtNr=79041&site=Wellness%20und%20Körper&block=2&pid=apotheke
The information that I could find on CODEX is all dated from 2002 or 2003 - nothing is current.
Can someone point me in a direction so that I can actually do some real research? I'm concerned, but not a lemming.
Thanks,
