Sparks said he regrets he "didn't take her hand and pull her down the sidewalk away from that idiot with a gun.'' Gee, ya think?

Nah, I'm not going to play that game. The shooter was the problem, not this guy.
I've got two words for New Yackers. Concealed Carry. When they get serious about crime, crime will end!

The suspect should be shot to death, then incinerated or dumped in the ocean (fish need to eat to)... That's the proper way to deal with someone who has no regard for taking another's life.

"It's a tragedy, but in this case it sounds like (the suspect) felt he wasn't getting the respect he was due,'' Lenhardt said. "When a gun is in the hands of a desperate person with low self-esteem, they're going to react that way.'' Typical liberal: Gee somebody should help the poor man that shot her. It was a murder. Sring him up.

An ad for a concealed carry permit. In NYC, they are like hens teeth I hear. If she plugged him, he probably would not have shot her, and even if he did, the outcome could not be worse.

Safety advocates, however, have cited the case as a lesson in what not to do during a holdup. Whose safety are they advocating for?

Even yet more confirmation, as if any were needed, that acting does not attract the best and the brightest...Was she an actress, or really a waitress who was trying to get into acting?

"It demonstrates that confronting an attacker is probably the worst thing you can do,'' said council spokesman Todd Post. Killing the attacker would be the best thing for all concerned and we should remove legislators, judges, etc. from office who favor criminals over victims until it is the criminals who fear for their safety rather than the law abiding citizens.

But he heard the gunfire and turned to find her on the ground.
"I ran to her and held her and begged her to hang on," he said as he began to cry.
Not trying to take away from the perp - he should be strung up, but what did this guy do, run away while his girlfriend was getting shot? When he heard the gun fire, he turned and ran back... sounds like he ran off and left her to get shot.
Sounds like a metrosexual thing to do.

>If she plugged him, he probably would not have shot her, and even if he did,
the outcome could not be worse If this woman was
so stupid she'd mouth off to
a thug robbing her,
the outcome could have
been much worse! If she'd been armed,
she might have started
shooting with her eyes
clinched shut -- I've seen dumb people
shoot that way! -- and then
who knows how many
people in buildings behind
the thug would have died?!
To: Jenya
He also said the actress "kept raging after Rudy, she kept pushing him, she slipped over the snow'' and that the gun "went off.''Yeah, that's it... uh, the gun just went off. Damndest thing I've ever seen.
I'm sure that one's gonna hold up in court.
I guess the proper course of action would have been to hand over their valuables, and then say, "Please sir, can we have some more pistol whipping?"
The proper response would have been for her to pull a gun out of her purse and waste the thug. Oh, wait, that's not politically correct. And as we all know, being PC is much more important than being, say, ALIVE!
