Late to this discussion, as usual. But FWIW I think Miss Peggy was a little tipsy the night of the inauguration when she made her "God drenched" remarks and other weird statements. So what could she do the next day? "Gee, I was snookered and a little miffed that I didn't get the speech writing assignment." Now she is past that little slip and back on track.
