I sent this to Churchill and the regents:

To Mr. Churchill,

I read your statement issued January 31st:

To quote that famous philosopher Sir Mix-A-Lot, "I like big butts". And I can always count on a left-winger to show me one whenever they try to save face. You showed me a whopper when you said "I am not a 'defender' of the September 11 attacks, but..." and then went on to describe how the U.S. just got what we deserved that day.
According to you, America has been the great violator of international law and suppressor of human rights since our birth in 1776. I realize your left-wing colleagues have been rewriting the history books for years but my copy must be one major revision behind. I don't see the chapter where our founding fathers loaded covered wagons with black powder and crashed them into the civilian trade districts of London or where instead of the freedoms protected by the first amendment we instituted the my-religion-or-death law.

You claim that since the CIA had an office in the World Trade Center then that "ostensibly civilian facility" became a legitimate target. The WTC was basically a verticle city with thousands of employees, daycare kids, customers and visitors from every walk of international life. By your twisted reasoning it would be ok to nuke the hometown of many Americans anytime three cops are found sitting in a donut shop somewhere within the city and that the rest of the vaporized town could be considered collateral damage.

The situation is analogous to the Pentagon's justification for attacks on the command and control structure of Saddam's Iraq you insist. But I do not recall even Al-Jazeera claiming we had a kill ratio of one thousand civilians to one legit target. Although, I'm sure the WTC victims' families are comforted to hear your correction on the Nazi statement. Thank God you clarified that you did not consider them just plain old Nazis, rather you specifically considered them Adolf Eichmann type Nazis. Wow, that was a close one - apology accepted!

I hope those new tsunami detectors are in place because I expect Richter to register an 8.5 with an aftershock of 9.0 as news of your third-party quote reaches first MLK then JFK and the tumultuous grave rolling ensues. The quote, "Those who make peaceful change impossible make violent change inevitable", would have made sense if you were describing the intentions of those evil enough to strap a bomb on a mentally handicapped kid in an effort to derail a peaceful election in Iraq.

If you insist on using this great nation as your subject then I have a new quote you can borrow - "Those who help make peaceful change (elections) possible make future violent change less likely." To save you time crediting famous dead people who have left this world to be with the Father yet still prefer to put more distance between themselves and you, I grant you the right to use this one as your own.

And if you insist on accusing someone of inflicting a "slaughter" then I suggest you apply it correctly to those using slaughterhouse techniques such as slitting throats of the helpless and herding, binding and shooting innocents. You apply it to the men and women of our military who already willingly risked (and often sacrificed) their lives to take down the Butcher of Baghdad and who are currently doing the same to prevent more wannabe butchers from topping off the mass graves. If you were not a tenured professor I would not have believed you capable of such a high degree of illogic.

After reading your litany of accusations against America I wonder whether you are capable of finding any fault in real trouble-makers. For example, you blame us directly for children starving in Iraq under Saddam while he was playing the mother of all shell games with the money meant to feed those kids. But you didn't have any harsh words for the dictator or his willing enablers at the U.N. And you need not worry about offending the U.N. - I suspect that your wise pronouncements of late have earned you a pemanent place in the black hearts of most of its members.

Turns out Horowitz was right about our educational institutions. And if my favorite preacher is right that there is a negative force for every positive force in this world then you are the perfect balance to that wonderful man who shared your last name, Winston Churchill. If you can't understand the modern equivalent to Winnie's V-for-Victory sign, the purple finger of freedom, that millions of Iraqis were flying Sunday then, on behalf of proud Americans everywhere, I look up at you in your chicken roost atop your ivory tower and give you the middle finger of disapproval. I have a sneeking suspicion that you might be more familiar with that one. If not, you will be soon.

You have the right to free speech as I do, but you do not have a right to taxpayer funded propagandizing any more than I do. When (not if) you eventually get fired and your promised lawsuit follows, you might as well represent yourself because regardless who takes the job he will have a fool for a client. I am not counting on any gaggle of liberals from the school to actually fire you though. I expect you to be one of the first victims of President Bush's second term followup to the No Child Left Behind Act for which I have been lobbying - it's called the No Child Left In Charge Act. And, yes, I have read the reports about you possibly not even being an Indian but rather a white wannabe (AICS press statement, 3Nov1999) and I don't blame any honorable race for distancing itself from you - expect a similar press statement from the human race soon. But I don't care what your bloodline is - you will always be Chief Spewing Bull to me.

In parting, let me say thanks for caving like a captured terrorist afraid of ending up on the bottom row of the next naked pyramid when you ratted out one your conspirators in the crime against sanity that you call a book (On the Justice of Roosting Chickens). Knowing that the Gustavus Myer Human Rights folks (whoever they are) gave your book the modern liberals' highest award for self esteem (Honorary Mention) makes me distrust them not excuse you. But I want to help you out here and remind you that the next time you start plugging your book don't forget to promote your soon to be released follow-up called "Roosting Chickens II: The Causal Link Between Reckless Rhetoric and Unexpected Unemployment".

And if we can get Willie Nelson to start adding crack cocaine to his pot pipe and give up shampoo for Lent, then I might just have an idea for casting the movie. Michael Moore has signed on to direct.

If I had a nickel for everyone who has told me that they were "part Cherokee" I'd be able to take my wife out to a nice restaurant this weekend.

Does owning a Cherokee count? Maybe I could trade my Expedition for one, then open a casino...

Are you the guy that Churchill claimed vandalised his pick-up?

I think "Kenis the Penis" paid Professor Kerri Dunn to do it for him.

I was thinking the same thing. Didn't she teach some sort of multicultural/feminist study voodoo? ( I mean before she got hauled off to the gaol)

"Delenda est Bouldero!"

The tragedy being that Carthage actually had something positive to offer to the world intellectually. How sad. Carthage gave us Hannibal. Boulder gave us Ward "Cleaver" Churchill.

Voodoo is close enough. Psychology, specializing in 'feminist issues'.

Considering that his bona fides regarding the right to be called "Kenis" have been rather, shredded, how about we give him full membership in the "White Guy" race. One, because he is obviously a white guy. Two, because this obviously pisses him off to no end. To the point that he has to lie about his ethnicity. As an "associate member" of the "white guy" tribe (well, sort of; I'm really a mongrel but I do sunburn), I'm authorized to do this. His Tribal name will be: Ward Cleaver, about the whitest guy ever.

It's 2:20 am and I'm fooling around on the computer. I got time. How? (meaning barring him from Wheaton as oppossed to the customary "authentic" Indian greeting that Ward Cleaver learned on F Troop)

Ahh, yes. Nothing like the "hard" sciences. Galileo, Descartes, Einstein, Andrea Dworkin. Do you remember the TV show F Troop? If you do, doesn't Ward Cleaver look just like one of those honkeys who used to play the Indians?

BuddhaBrown, what an excellent reply! You should be a professional columnist.

This Ward guy is psychologically screwed up from some childhood trauma. He has nothing but anger and hate in his psyche. He vents his deep emotional vitriol on the only country in the world which would allow him to receive $100,000 per annum from his fellow citizens to perpetuate his venom.

He is a nut case.

Keep that fire "stoked," huac. I think, perhaps, we may yet see him fired. Wouldn't that just be a shame for the author of the "little Eichmanns"? (and thanks for the credit)

Thought you'd be interested in an article about him, The Fuss About Ward Churchill, which says, in part:

....He claims, “This is a three-year-old piece that has been spun mercilessly and distorted. The comparison was of technocrats. Eichmann is someone who, after all, killed no one. He made the trains run on time." So just what does that mean? Did the technocrats deserve to die or not?

As for the piece being “spun mercilessly and distorted”—consider the following quotation, taken directly from the essay:

"If there was a better, more effective, or in fact any other way of visiting some penalty befitting their participation upon the little Eichmanns inhabiting the sterile sanctuary of the twin towers, I'd really be interested in hearing about it."

If anything, the reporting I have heard about Churchill’s essay has omitted the implications of the preceding remark. Why would he be interested hearing about a worse tragedy than the one foisted on the victims of the towers? Does that mean he wishes it were worse? Perhaps more dead? Perhaps more planes plowing into more buildings?

* * *

I’m wondering why there is no information about Ward Churchill’s biography. He claims to be Native American, but there is nothing about his background on the internet, yet he is a tenured professor, and has published a number of books.
