"The sorry part of this is Ward Churchill has fraudulently represented himself as an Indian, and a member of the American Indian Movement, a situation that has lifted him into the position of a lecturer on Indian activism. He has used the American Indian Movements chapter in Denver to attack the leadership of the official American Indian Movement with his misinformation and propaganda campaigns...Ward Churchill has been masquerading as an Indian for years behind his dark glasses and beaded headband. He waves around an honorary membership card that at one time was issued to anyone by the Keetoowah Tribe of Oklahoma. Former President Bill Clinton and many others received these cards, but these cards do not qualify the holder a member of any tribe. He has deceitfully and treacherously fooled innocent and naïve Indian community members in Denver, Colorado, as well as many other people worldwide. Churchill does not represent, nor does he speak on behalf of the American Indian Movement..."

"blood in the water?"
More like a drop of water in the large puddle of blood...
That's how the Rats operate and IMHO, the National Education Association; those two outfits have already proven themselves to be nothing but socialists....and the NEA is out to get our children by having teachers be learned in the ways of "change agents" (by the very means those teachers were inculcated themselves).
"I'm part Choctaw somewhere. Maybe I should embrace it?"
Maybe? Dude, Churchill rode this fraud into a tenured position. I bet he made $150,000 plus a year, "taught" maybe three days a week for maybe an hour a day, got summers off, full medical benefits, the whole time soliciting lithe, young freshmans to come to his swanky pad and check out his dream catcher collection . Because he ahd a card saying he was an Amercian Indian and hated America. You better jump on that gravy train!
As Dwight Yokum has been known to say... "I ain't that lonely yet"
"nothing but socialists"
You are much to kind. There are stronger names for what they are...
Thanks for the ping. I knew about this guy a long time ago. He has some sort of cult following in Colorado, but most of the AIM people know that he is a fraud. I believe Russ Means once described him as an Indian-wannabe and liberal who was so ashamed of his "evil whiteness" that he had to concoct a fantasy of being a down-trodden minority to justify his hatred and whacko beliefs.
Pathetic slimeball. I sure hope he's not sleeping well these nights now that both the Right and Left are on to him. He would have been better off claiming he was an Arab. CAIR would have come to his rescue.;)
Hey Smart Guy, don't go showing of your erudition, what with the Shakespeare comment. Just because Churchill didn't get a real college degree doen't mean he ain't like...intelligent! He was smart enough to fool U of CO into a paying job!
I'm mostly Choctaw and all American. I get so tired of these leftists who continue to push the stereotype of Native Americans. They push the idea that all tribes are the same, that we all base our spirituality on some generic naturalist movement, that we all look the same way, that we all speak the same way, that our politics are one and the same. It's same old leftist song and dance, the ignorant inability to see people as individuals.
Ward Churchhill taught myyoungest and poisoned her mind. She wrote a great paper on what Indians could do to improve their plight. She did research on the casinos, alcoholism on reservations, etc. She recommeded they train their own to run casinos and not give outside gambling interests a cut, that they use the money to mainstream their young kids and treat their boozers. He gave her an F. She got a c in his course cause she had made a's on everything else. She hated the bastard. We heard about him non stop the entire semester she had him. I guess we are lucky but if I knew then what I know now, I would have made noise.
PS,,go to the ethnic studies department on the CU homepage. His vitae is nowhere on the site but the rest of his department has phds from yale, etc, good resumes from the places they went. He has a MA from some college I never heard of. I went to look it up and got distracted. He is a psychopath from everything I know of him.
I called CU today, I give them money twice a year because for the most part they werre wonderful to my daughter. I told them no more money till he was gone. We shall see.
The Left has committed the same crimes on Amercian Indians that it has on African Americans. Vote for us because the Republicans are bad. Look what good it did for Tom Daschle's American Indian constituents. Nothing.
Yeah, but if I said those names, I'd get stuned! : )
bump
You should shoot this to O"Reilly. He's currently on a rant over Churchill.
Why in the world would he give her an "F"? What was his justification for that? What did he cite as a valid reason for that "F"? I'd have complained, loudly.
The Serpent was clever as well. : )
Maybe she can get the U of CO to adjust that grade after this.
"His vitae is nowhere on the site..."
Hey, this was just faxed to me from a Kinko's in Texas:
Ward Churchill CV
Goal:
High paying, tenured position
Education:
- Fake degree from second rate school in ridiculous "major"
Qualifications:
- Hate America
- Ability to rant like lunatic
- Fake ethnicity card in wallet
- long hair, headband and Huggy Bear shades
He was into overthrowing the government, etc. He nevere gave her a reason, he made fun of her. In fact one of the guys in heer class challenged him and said Indians needed to get over being victims and care for themselves,,he kicked the guy out of the class.
My daughter was 19, well behaved, a product of an all girls school where everyone had good manners and very protected. She couldn't stand up to this guy but knew she had been royally screwed. She is having the last laugh now!!
This caught my eye
About 25% of the Ojibwa Indians share the 'X' gene found in only Europeans and American Indians. That is the highest % amongst any of the American Indians.
