In this most recent election, for the first time, the Democrats expended tens of millions of dollars directly attacking our FairTax congressmen and Senators, specifically on this issue.
Of the fifty-two they went after, only two lost...and they were in districts that already leaned Dem.
This is a winning issue, and the coalition that ends the income tax will govern this country for the next generation.
That coalition must be the Republican coalition.
And with a big name like Steven King behind it, how can you go wrong?

I can't believe you think this will produce lower taxes for most people. It certainly won't for me which is not an argument for or against. Nor would that necessarily mean I would not support it should I conclude it is beneficial to the nation.
I see no way it would not cause a drastic drop in consumption initially though and thereby a deep recession or worse.
