Iraqis With Fake Passports Detained In Mexico

SAN DIEGO -- Two Iraqis have been charged with immigration offenses in Mexico after being arrested last week in Tijuana, according to Mexican officials.

The Iraqis, Steven Yohanan Kurkis and Kaml Meti Bashar, presented passports from Greece with the names Nikolaos Skarvelis and Nabil Megalli, according to a news release from the Mexican Attorney General's office obtained by the San Diego Union-Tribune.

The American, Samer Toma Oraha, presented an expired U.S. passport to Mexican immigration authorities after arriving in Tijuana from Mexico City on an Aeromexico flight Jan. 26, according to Mexican authorities.

Obviously, Iraqi terrorists are not sneaking into the U.S. from Mexico (Wm Randolph Hearst made a serial based on that scenario in 1915, and it's still believed by the credulous). The foreign terrorists detained in the U.S. came in from Canada and/or Great Britain. But, then again, these Iraqis are probably just ordinary, run-of-the-mill illegal alien wannabes.

Looks like that "coyote" that "dropped the dime" on the Iraqis and Chinese agents planning on dirty bombing Boston loosened up some bureaucratic inertia at Dept. of Homeland Security and State Dept.

Of course since these guys never made it into the U.S. and the Chinese were so conveniently identified and at least one found, maybe the disgruntle "coyote" was a cover for intel developed by "other assets."

Either way, boarder security is going to get some overdue attention in the near future.

Yeah, right.........all "ordinary, run of the mill, illegals" stop and pick up (buy) foreign, fake ID's & then pay 10K each, to sneak into the US. "To do ALL those jobs us Americans won't do."
