I can understand that, to a degree. But we have been so blessed to live in the GREATEST nation on the planet, where we don't have to worry about being tortured, maimed, raped, killed, or dumped in mass graves. To me, it's no wonder that they are/were shell-shocked and possibly not trusting, especially after we left them twisting in the wind after Desert Storm.
