Palestinian security forces participate in a training session in the West Bank city of Tulkarm February 1, 2005. Israel will slow a planned pullback from West Bank cities because of Gaza violence that has frayed a de facto truce and raised doubts Palestinians can keep militants in check, officials said on Tuesday. Could have sworn it was the French army.

Tell that first shooter to always keep his finger out of the trigger guard until he's ready to shoot.

I honestly thought that was the French army before reading the Reuters caption. Whenever someone beats me to a thought, I look at their FReep Homepage. Yours takes the cake: a masterpiece of brevity. It might even be considered art. Also, the quote by TS Elliot totally rocks. Very CS Lewis-like. Rebuild, indeed!

That reminds me of Army training at the start of WWII. Men with wooden machine guns firing on jeeps with 'Tank" written on the side.

Palestinian security forces are seen here demonstating how critical shortages have hampered their readiness to confront terrorism. In a plan backed by Kofi Annan, the Palestinian Authority has petitioned for the intervention of France, in an attempt to persuade Hamas and Islamic Jihad to help alleviate the shortages.
