The CSPAN announcers remind me of pilots on a flight. They remind you what's coming up, unfortunately they don't say when to put your seatback tray in the upright position or when to put your head between your legs.

The co-author of the memo was Bybee's deputy, John Yoo, now a law professor at Berkeley's Boalt Hall Law School. But who wrote what is unclear. In the end, Bybee was the senior official who signed off on the legal opinion, so the responsibility for its content is his

So Bybee didn't write the whole memo huh??

And who is John Yoo??

Correct..... very little gets done in the Senate absent unanimous consent..... The House operates on a different procedure.

Because they're talking about Bush more than they're talking about him?

Very intelligent guy. I've seen him a couple of times, I think on C-Span. They must have snuck him into Boalt Hall.

I hope I don't see any of them attempting to cozy up to President Bush tonight as he walks down the aisle to the podium....as Daschle did. (Then, didn't he later use this pic for his campaign, implying falsely that he was a buddy of the President?)

I think it all goes back to when Harry Reid basically called Clarence Thomas an uneducated n****r. Not that way, but he may as well have said it that way. Reid is a damned racist.

I'd be willing to bet she'll vote to confirm. There's nothing she could do that would cause the left to abandon her so she'll posture to the center.
