Lets just ignore the rodent then and go on like its spring.Especially those in the NE where its cold.
But he might have feelings so shouldn't others be nice to him?

It's the same things your whole life. "Clean up your room.", "Stand up straight.", "Pick up your feet.", "Take it like a man.", "Be nice to your sister.", "Don't mix beer and wine, ever.".
Oh yeah, "Don't drive on the railroad track."

Phil is just getting even with the US taxpayers for not giving him a $100,000 grant to build a "weather education center".
I would suggest that Ted Kennedy could serve the same purpose. We could base our climate predictions on whether or not he sees his considerable shadow on St. Patrick's Day.

Believe or no, Marin County, CA used to be "country". My first job in life was shooting crows. It was a horse and cow area. And I learned early on to take note of the signs nature gave me concerning winters and summers. It's never failed. So, yes, I agree with you, BTS. I'm always happiest out of doors and gardening. You run a nursery, eh? What heaven!
