But you recall that the only Catholic president, JFK, made a point of saying in Houston in 1960 that never would his "faith" interfere with his "duties" as chief executive. What kind of faith was that anyway? Jeb can just say that he is "personally opposed" to starving and dehydrating Terri, but the limitations of his office forbid him from intervening. And I suspect that is what he will do.

We all suspect THAT. But we are HOPING perhaps Jeb will surprise us. And maybe we can NUDGE his conscience and inspire him to do more.
