"Felos actually guides Greer's decisions, procedural and otherwise, by overtly suggesting what he (greer) might do, ie what the next step should be." Interesting.
I've seen this kind of behavior in the courtroom a number of times - attorneys leading the judges by the nose, so to speak.

"I think this boycott idea is wonderful, but knowing the people of FL and the USA I doubt that it will be any more successful than was the 1990s boycott of Disney by the Southern Baptist Convention. Even Southern Baptists continued to feed money into the Disney machines in Orlando and Anaheim. Just the threat of a boycott might move the legislature, but I fear that George W. Greer's 65 percent majority on Aug. 31 means that nothing will be done to stop Terri's murder."
Yes, it might fail, but the only certain way to insure failure is to not try it. It might also succeed, and the only way to find out is to try it. Terri's murder is not a certainty. Until and unless it is, all legal means of influencing those who have the power to prevent it are worth pursuing. Never know which one might work.

"Most of the people to whom you are referring, in the words of the late "Sergeant Friday," just "do not know the facts" of this tragic case. And even if they did, they would not want to be "confused by the facts," as prejudiced people often don't say."
How to spot those who really don't know the facts had been discussed and established much earlier. We'd now moved to discussing the tactics of trolls who actively and consciously support her death - and trolls who might consciously be doing something even worse. There's a mix of all these kinds.
Sometimes we run into one who appears uninformed at first, but shortly morphs into something entirely different. That old saying, (paraphrased) "Never attribute to malevolence what you can explain by ignorance", has a corollary: Faked ignorance is the perfect mask for malevolence. Just talking about ways to spot it.

Leaked papers spark right-to-life row (UK)Doctors have intervened in a right-to-life row following the suggestion some hospital patients should be allowed to die because it costs too much to keep them alive.
The Daily Mail claims leaked Government papers suggest patients should be denied food and liquid if they fall into a coma or are too ill to speak for themselves.
The Government refused to comment on the reports.
A Department of Health spokeswoman told the Press Association: "I can tell you it is a leaked document. We are not saying anything further."

This is one of the supporters of that bill that would grandfather in hearsay testimony accepted as fact by the courts as good enough to kill.

Thanks, Scoop. For some reason, that link included the (.) and went to a mirror petition that doesn't appear to be activated. Not sure why that is.

Note: The signature totals are updated during the work week and not over the weekend. Someone asked about that earlier, I think.
Please, Freeps, consider circulating this as much as possible. I don't think anyone in Florida wants this one going in under the radar.

It does seem that George W. Greer, legally blind, does get confused on "procedure" in his court: so he is grateful that the smarter George F. Felos is there to guide him. Only in FL? No, this could be in any state.

To: Theodore R.

Should we perhaps target swing legislators to tell them to oppose loosening the standards, and also write to Jeb Bush to encourage him to veto any legislation that would loosen the standards?
