I got email reply!:
Dear concerned citizen:
Thank you for your e-mail expressing your views on Terri Shiavo; your correspondence will be presented to Senator Lee today. Understandably, we are receiving a large volume of letters, phone calls, and e-mails expressing strong opinions on this very important matter. While Senator Lee cannot personally respond to each letter, he would like to provide you with the latest information on the status of the case.
Senator Lee voted in favor of the legislation passed in HB 2003 commonly known as Terris Law. In 2004, the legislative action was found to be unconstitutional. Appeals on the case have been denied. The Florida Legislature is currently reviewing the court decision and investigating any and all options for potential legislative action.
Thank you for contacting Senator Tom Lee regarding Terri Shiavo. Your participation in the process is both welcomed and appreciated.
Sincerely,
The office of Senate President Tom Lee
THANKS! We're working on a new one today
I was one of them--did you see me :)
I am off to make some MORE calls........
WOW!! That's terrific. I included the link to the article about collusion in my letter to the Gov, State legislators,I hope they read it. Someone has not been doing their job and they had to do something IMO.
I've also been including links to TEJ in all my emails to personal contacts.
This is great! I'm so tickled that your stories are getting the exposure they truly deserve. I pray those numbers continue to increase!!!
THANKS! We're working on a new one today
Great! Great can hardly wait!
Schiavo's life seems measured in delays
http://www.sptimes.com/2005/02/24/Columns/Schiavo_s_life_seems_.shtml
Excerpts:
"Felos, peering over his glasses, seemed older, weary of it, even resigned."
"Gibbs...young, black-haired and wearing rimless spectacles, he calmly argued that the Schindlers were entitled to a stay for five reasons."
"The courtroom was a depressing, cavernous, 1970s-looking relic with dark wood paneling and black marble. Greer's bench was high, distant; it was hard to hear him. The jury box was filled with national and local reporters and photographers, pointing and clicking at the Schindlers."
"Gibbs is absolutely right: The delay does not matter to the Terri Schiavo of today. But that is not the test. Only two things matter: What she wanted before, which the court has already settled, and whether anything has changed since the court ruled she is in a persistent vegetative state."
The email I'm getting today is much more positive. Here's another example:
Thank you for contacting my office regarding Terri Schiavo. When this issue first came up in 2003, I was the House Sponsor for the bill that has enabled Terri to continue to live and I am again actively involved with other legislators and attorneys as we look for a solution to Terris situation. We are carefully seeking an answer that will stand up in court and also would be a long lasting solution for many families. Please know that Terri and her family are in my thoughts and prayers and please continue to pray for guidance for us as we seek an answer.

"can you believe that approximately half an hour ago there were 600 people on The Empire Journal site at the same time all reading articles relating to Terri Schiavo."
I CAN believe it!! It's the best place for Terri news.
Thanx for the info.
"So the clock is reset, but keeps ticking. Gibbs is absolutely right: The delay does not matter to the Terri Schiavo of today. But that is not the test. Only two things matter: What she wanted before, which the court has already settled, and whether anything has changed since the court ruled she is in a persistent vegetative state."
Here he shows his prejudices. Judge Greer ignored Florida law on PVS definition and allowed hearsay evidence from Michael and his cohorts. When a Judge is in gross misconduct as Judge Greer is, I don't consider it a settled matter. Since she isn't in a PVS state and never was, his last statement is also incorrect.
"Everything else is emotion, and grandstanding, and the personal demons and fears that all of us seem to have projected onto this tragic case."
So saving someone's life is grandstanding according to this reporter.
Thank you TEJ for your props to Free Republic on TEJ.
Petition you needed?
You bet they are inspiring!! GO GATORS!!!!! This article is a MUST READ for any Terri supporter!!!
Just called and yes, I talked to a REAL person who was very accomadating!!!! YOU ALL CALL!!!!!! FLOOD THOSE LINES with kind requests to our dear President Bush.
Yes thank you this is the one. Oh, and I found post#3360 and emailed it. My Bud called to say he received petition email --made copies and will be passing the copies out during the break.
Someone made an interesting point on another thread.
What if Greer, who just took the DCF petition in his office, faxes his "opinion" on Friday, dismissing the case as irrelevant, etc. and then goes away for the weekend while Schiavo removes the tube at 5pm on Friday.
What is the recourse? Has anyone else thought of this?
Terri ping to 3337! If anyone would like to be added to or removed from my Terri ping list, please let me know by FReepmail!
