Supporters of President Bush's judicial nominees have hired the same media firm used by Swift Boat Veterans for Truth for their efforts to defend the next nominee for any upcoming Supreme Court vacancy.
The aggressive media style of Creative Response Concepts (CRC) will be met by a "war room" already set up by the liberal People For the American Way (PFAW) on the other side, indicating that the next Supreme Court fight is likely to be one of the nastiest in history.
"There is nothing more important -- if and when it happens -- than a Supreme Court nomination," said PFAW President Ralph G. Neas, standing in the 2,500-square-foot room of the organization's M Street building.
The room is equipped with telephones, desks and 36 computers -- enough for the 75 paid staff members and 50 volunteers he expects to run it.
Mr. Neas declined to say how much money his group is spending on the command center, except to say it's "the major institutional commitment this year."
"Ralph Neas has been waiting for this battle since his last Supreme Court battle years ago," said Greg Mueller, president of CRC. "We don't even have a vacancy or a nominee and these left-wing organizations are already organizing war rooms."
CRC made a splash in the summer promoting the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, the group that questioned the legitimacy of Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry's war medals, his claims about his Vietnam War service, and his anti-war stance upon returning to the United States.
The group has been hired into the judicial battle by the Federalist Society, the influential conservative judicial organization from which many of Mr. Bush's nominees have been picked.

Pelosi and Reed showed that on TV today at the Press Club. They scheduled their bitch session expecting the election to be a disaster. It back fired.
Creative Response Concepts' site says they're always looking for good people to join their team.

Good, we can use the extra voters this will give us.
Let's get it on!
Think again, Neas. Bush, who named Scalia as a favorite, was elected. We aren't about to back away when one of the basic reasons for supporting the President comes under fire. We will be ready.
Would make things alot easier.
Simply turn off the Democratic Channel for a while.
Teddy Kennedy will help us (his lunatic rants about Iraq).
Maybe Teddy will lose his seat.
Complaining about everything and anything is not a platform that attracts voters. When your against everything, you become a pest. Americans are not inspired by whiners, and when pictures like we saw yesterday from Iraq, nobody wants to hear "Well the elections in Iraq are great... BUT... We demand that President Bush give us a date certain for us bugging out of Iraq" and in the next breath demand that "We must deploy our soldiers in the mountains of Afghanistan in a worthless search for some cave dwelling coward who has seen most of his Lieutenants killed or captured while he issues empty threat on DVD from a cave somewhere.
The Terrorist misunderestimated this President and I believe Osama bin Laden has learned his lesson, my question is "When will the democrats?"
Dean's Chairmanship is a gift from God. That guy will divide the Democrat Party worse than it is now. He might be able to bring home the bacon from the radical left, but you can count on every big donor running away from him like a scalded dog
I have never felt that my money utilized in a better way than by the Swiftees campaign to shine a bright light on John Abject Coward Kerry.
1. Putting on the bench as many conservative judges as possible.
2. Closing the border with Mexico and deporting the criminal aliens currently screwing with our precious country.
3. Winning the War on Terror.
All the other stuff pales beside these three.
bump!
Yes! To the death.
Email Teddy!!! Tell him how much you enjoy his "forthrightness!" Really lay it on thick.
You're right, "Teddy please we want more quagmire speeches."
And Teddy, please insist that President Bush come up with a definite date certain that all the troops will leave Iraq, like 30 days from now.
Teddy keep bringing up Vietnam, like Kerry did, keep babbling about lies, and no WMDs, yell it out on the Senate Floor.
We're having TOO MUCH FUN!
I wonder if the Democrat whiners and losers will try to use this as ipso facto proof that the Swifties were coordinating with the Bush campaign, in order to undermine Bush's judicial nominations.
