All that positive thinking is driving liberals nuts! The only thing more dreadful that's missing from the statement is God Talk.

Denny Crane: "I want two things. First God and then Fox News."

The pictures of the Iraqis going to the polls were wonderful.

Their stories of gaining nerve as the day went on and finally venturing out of their houses to vote were heartening.

But watching the President make his remarks while trying to suppress and ear-to-ear grin...priceless!

When you consider all that these people went through to cast a vote, and then consider the whining of the rats here over voter "disenfranchisement", it's really sort of embarrassing... for the rats.

"Today the people of Iraq have spoken to the world, and the world is hearing the voice of freedom from the center of the Middle East.

In great numbers, and under great risk, Iraqis have shown their commitment to democracy. By participating in free elections, the Iraqi people have firmly rejected the anti- democratic ideology of the terrorists. They have refused to be intimidated by thugs and assassins. And they have demonstrated the kind of courage that is always the foundation of self- government."

That is one of the finest opening paragraphs spoken recently. He is just too magnanimous in crediting the EU & the UN with anything...they are useless. I guess he doesnt want to say it on such an otherwise hopeful day.
